The African Union is to present its decision on the Western Sahara and Libya before the United Nations Security Council.

Briefing the council is among decisions reached at the Second African Union and United Nations Conference in Addis Ababa on Monday.

Delegates at the conference have raised deep concern for the Western Sahara conflict amidst “evolving uncertainties in the international order, the rifts in international relations and the negative impact on the state of global peace and security.”

The conference noted the need to “adhere to established international norms, principles, and rules.”

The exact date for a briefing on the United Nations Security Council is undetermined.
